South Africa is opening its doors to welcome the world for the 2010 FIFA World Cup™. Millions of people will be visiting South Africa to witness this historic event.
South African Tourism has launched its new 2010 website which provides exciting and useful information for anyone who wants to travel to South Africa for the 2010 FIFA World Cup™.
The site gives you the chance to learn a little more about the host country, South Africa with an introduction to the South African story, it’s icons including Nelson Mandela and Table Mountain, visitor’s essentials with practical information linking to South African Tourism’s Visitor’s Starter Guide, which covers health measures, accommodation options, Visa and custom requirements, South African weather, South African currency details as well as local and international communication and transport.
Not only does the site give insight into the host country, it also provides valuable links to information about the host cities within South Africa – where to stay, what to see and do and other information that will make an experience in any of the host cities exciting, beyond the game of soccer.
Heard about the Diski Dance? The Diski is the official dance for the 2010 FIFA World Cup™. South Africans have a unique way of playing soccer called the Diski which is rhythmic, sometimes showy, but never boring. The Diski Dance incorporates Diski into a dance.
Southafrica.net has all you need to know about the Diski Dance with links to videos and ‘dance classes’ teaching how to do the Diski Dance as well as some fun videos of people all over the world learning and doing the Diski. The new 2010 website makes it fun to learn the Diski and has a competition that will run in February next year called ‘Find the Rhythm’ where a fantastic personalised holiday to South Africa will be up for grabs.
With the launch of its new 2010 website, South African Tourism is offering 84 lucky fans from 3 countries the chance to win the trip of a lifetime to celebrate the first FIFA World Cup™ on African soil in the Join the World Party in 2010 competition. The competition will have supporters from a number of countries posting inspirational messages for their country. Each story from every country competes for votes. Once voting is done, the 3 countries with the most votes for their inspirational messages will get to ‘Join the World Party in 2010’ and win the trip of a lifetime to South Africa.
For information on events leading up to the 2010 FIFA World Cup™ southafrica.net provides a count down calendar of events that are not necessarily related to the soccer but could be of interest.
The new South African Tourism 2010 website is a useful guide for all things related to the 2010 FIFA World Cup™ and the exciting competitions are a must to enter for a chance to win the trip of a life time. For any other FIFA related questions, southafrica.net provides a link to the FIFA website which provides further information regarding the 2010 FIFA World Cup™.
